Another week with Bob the Builder...

The most impressive change is the "now you see it, now you don't" door.
On the right - the stairs to the parlor floor.
On the left, the utility room.
Now you see it ...

Now you don't!

The drop ceiling is in from bathroom to alcove to front hall under stoop.
Mike the painter is going to start on Monday, patching walls and finishing the entire basement.

Here's the baseboard trim, highlighted by Eric's mocassin.
The chip board floor (in rumpus room) will be covered with slate blue wall-to-wall carpet.

The rumpus room will be painted Van Courtland Blue, a Benjamin Moore historic color.

If all goes according to Hoyle, the painting should be done next week,
and we can get the carpet and the rest of the vinyl installed (outside the bathroom in the alcove)
and actually move into our kitchen!
(We are still waiting on the panel that will go in front of the Vent-a-Hood over the range,
as soon as it comes in, we'll get on Bob's schedule and be done with this project!)

Of course, we'll have no TV or furniture for the alleged rumpus room ...
more room to rumpus, I guess!
